These 4 star cottages are located on the slopes of the Glenelly Valley (an area of outstanding natural beauty) in the heart of the Sperrins. This is a fishing and rambling utopia and is excellent for rough game shooting and coarse fishing for trout and salmon. (Foyle Fisheries Rod Licenses are needed). For the more adventurous there is nothing more exhilarating than rambling on the heather clad mountains or hill walking in the remote beautiful area. Part of the Ulster way crosses the valley where you can experience complete freedom with only the sheep and birds as your companions. Or enjoy the landscape from the comfort of your car taking the scenic drive from Glenelly valley to Gortin Glen, where the variety of the landscape is breathtaking. The cottages are an ideal base from which to explore Northern Ireland, to discover the history of the land, or simply relax and get away from it all. All cottages in Glenelly are less than an hours drive from the market towns of Omagh, Strabane, Magherafelt and the historic city of Derry.
One of two cottages, perched on the side of the Glenelly Valley, are just a mile and half outside the award-winning picturesque village of Plumbridge. Both cottages have spectacular views of the countryside. The village boasts seven pubs where music sessions and card playing are all part of a night's craic. Along the village walkway you can admire the view of the Glenelly River sweeping under the stone arched bridge.
