Booking Conditions
These conditions are the basis upon which Cottages in Ireland Ltd accept bookings described in this brochure. Please read these conditions carefully as they represent the terms of a contract between us. Your signature on the booking form or submitting a booking by email or booking and paying online confirms that you have read and understood the information provided.
1. Payment Procedure
Book online at www.cottagesinireland.com or send us a completed booking form together with the booking deposit in respect of the cottage or full payment for late bookings. On receipt of your booking form and payment we will issue a booking confirmation detailing the total cost of your cottage and showing (if applicable) how much remains to be paid. The contract between us will come into effect at this point. If, for any reason, the booking is not confirmed, your payment will be refunded. Payment should be made by Cheque (UK£ only) or Credit Card. Note: there is a charge for payment by Credit Card of 3% or £1 set fee for Debit Cards.
2. Confirmation of Booking
Once the booking confirmation has been issued, you become responsible for the total cost of the holiday. The balance payment is due 8 weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If you fail to pay the balance by the due date we reserve the right to change your booking and to levy the cancellation charges as detailed in paragraph 4. If your booking is made within 8 weeks of the commencement date full payment will be required.
3a. Cancellation, by you
If you cancel your holiday, you should let us know immediately. Your cancellation will become effective once we have received your written instruction and is subject to the following cancellation charges:

3b. Cancellation, by us
It is unlikely that it will be necessary for us to cancel a holiday. However, we reserve the right to do so in any circumstances up to your holiday start date. In such an event, we will offer you another holiday of an equivalent standard (subject to availability), or provide a full refund of all money paid.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the cottage and expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils, etc. and the cottage must be left clean and tidy at the end of the holiday. You are also responsible for any breakages or damages to the cottage or its contents and these must be notified to your Host immediately.
5. Pets
Please note that whilst one pet is welcome at many of the cottages (check symbol), you are responsible for any damage it may cause or any extra cleaning bill involved. (Restrictions apply)
6. Party Size
Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons as stated in the brochure occupy a cottage .The cottage Host will refuse admittance if this condition is not observed.
7a. Our Responsibilities
If you or any member of your party suffers death, illness, injury, loss or damage as a result of any proven failure to perform or proven improper performance of any part of our contract with you, we accept responsibility. Please note, however, that we accept no responsibility where the death, illness, injury, loss or damage is attributable:
(i) to you;
(ii) to the acts of a third party not connected with the provision of the holiday and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable;
(iii) to unusual and/or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even if all due care had been exercised;
(iv) to an event which we or the supplier of any of the services which make up your holiday could not, even after all due care, have foreseen or forestalled.
7b. Our Liability
Our liability to you (except in the case of damages for personal injury or death) is limited to twice the price of the holiday paid by you.
8. Complaints
If, whilst on holiday, you are not entirely satisfied with the cottage you should contact your Host immediately. If, after contacting your Host the problem has not been resolved, then you must put your complaint in writing to Cottages in Ireland within 14 days of your stay.
9. Insurance
No insurance cover is included in the cost of your holiday and we strongly recommend that you consider taking out personal travel insurance.
10. Meals/Transport
Please note that no meals or transport either (i) to or from your home to the cottage or (ii) to or from the cottage during your stay except as stated in the brochure.
11. Changes
We reserve the right to alter any of the particulars contained in this brochure prior to the contract between us coming into effect. We will do our utmost to ensure that any particulars so altered are drawn to your attention before any such contract is concluded.
12. Financial Protection
All monies paid in relation to cottage holidays including cottage and activities and/or cottages and ferries will be held in trust by Cottages in Ireland Limited on behalf of Cottage in Ireland clients.
